Hygiene Kits!

We are making Health Kits for UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief).  These kits are basic to good health and may be the only thing a child or adult actually owns.  Our church denomination sends these where needed in times of crises, such as floods, fires, war etc.

Fisk has set a goal of 100 Health Kits! Can you help? These kits must include the exact items listed below. Please follow carefully. Maybe you and your friends, family or neighbors want to assemble kits; make it a great opportunity to get together.

Here is the shopping list—please follow it closely, the kits must be standard.

Health Kit Materials                 Value about $12.

• 1 hand towel
  • 15 x 25 inches to 17 x 27 inches, No kitchen, cleaning, and microfiber towels
    

• 1 washcloth : No kitchen, cleaning, and microfiber towels
  

• 1 comb :   Must be sturdy & at least 5-7 inches of teeth.  No pocket combs or picks please.
  

• 1 metal nail clippers   -  no emery boards or metal nail files
  

• 1 bath-size soap :  3 oz. and larger sizes only, No Ivory or Jergens soap- due to moisture content, Do not remove from original packaging
  

• 1 adult toothbrush - do not remove from packaging. Personal advertising not acceptable
  

• 10 adhesive bandages -  ¾ inch by 3 inches,  Common household bandages acceptable
  

• 1 plastic bag   - One-gallon size re-sealable bag.
