Fisk Pollinator Garden in Gammons Park
Inspired by a United Women in Faith Program about Bees and Climate Justice, Fisk decided to spruce up Gammons Park, the memorial garden and bell site on our property. The soil was prepared, and with some volunteer plants and donations the first plants were planted. We are well on our way to a colorful bee loving garden. Mulch is next as well as the addition of some annuals.
If you want to donate to the garden, note Pollinator Garden on your check. We also can use assistance planting, weeding, watering and just enjoying the new site. Let's see what happens when the plants take hold! September 2023 Update - Pollinator garden is growing! Check out the bee… We’ve been blessed with lots of rain – the flowers in the pollinator garden are quickly becoming established. It turns out that we’ve fed many bunnies along the way so blossoms for pollinators have been limited but there have been many bee and butterfly sightings! If you haven’t visited the garden, please plan a few minutes to stop by. It’s a peaceful place for quiet meditation. |
